Coaching In Happiness: What It Is And What Goals Does It Set

These are the characteristics of happiness coaching, and the objectives on which it is based.

Coaching in happiness

Happiness coaching is specific training to teach people to be happy, acquiring a repertoire of responses, based on techniques and strategies, aimed at the indispensable goal, of knowing how to manage and increase the levels of well-being, satisfaction and happiness at the same time. over the years in our lives, above any other issue.

Normally it is done simultaneously with psychotherapy, although in cases where there is practically no psychopathology (that is, there is no discomfort, or signs or symptoms that indicate that there are psychological problems) only the issue of happiness is worked on.

When people come for consultation for us to help them, almost from the beginning, in addition to mitigating their symptoms and forms of discomfort, we must teach them to work to be happy, to know what things are important in happiness and in what proportions, to achieve a good average level of personal happiness.

What is happiness from a coaching point of view?

Happiness is based on the idea that reinforcements (pleasant experiences) are greater than punishments, both in our performance and in our information processing.

That is, that what we do leads us to have more income than expenses in the medium and long term due to our responses, but also that we perceive it in our brain, because if not it is as if it did not exist (a fact that usually happens).

What are the foundations of happiness training?

These are the main steps and requirements to apply coaching applied to the achievement of happiness.

1. Know where we are and what we want

The key is to have objective and true data about happiness. Normally, many of the content that we have about it is wrong, so when we use them believing that they are true and we do not feel happy, we fall apart and fall prey to frustration because we do not know what is not working; it is simply that the data is wrong, and obviously the results cannot be good, since we are going against correct knowledge.

In this sense, it is important to use all of our intelligence as accurately as possible, using Real Applied Intelligence to maximize, always guided by what should be the main goal in our hierarchy of vital priorities.

Intelligence is the ability to discern between main and accessory, and due to viruses they disturb our intelligence, produced by our genetic, cultural and pathological programs, it is very difficult for us to get right, staying too often with the secondary, losing the primary, therefore that generally the external results and the interpretations tend to be bad, not creating good and new possibilities for happiness.

2. Stability

We must also achieve the highest share of average happiness in our lives in a stable way, without looking at any other consideration or excuse not to prioritize it, because otherwise, we will always have something to not feel good and be unhappy.

3. Use good attribution strategies

On the other hand, it is essential to examine the attribution of the causes that we do to what happens to us, in all areas, both positive and negative. That is, to be able to really know what causes the different situations we live in.

Thus, if we misinterpret what is happening in us and around us, it is impossible to obtain knowledge to generate valid conclusions and make accurate modifications, and we will not create useful rules that serve us.

Always keep in mind the need to promote with motivation and persistence the use of Intelligent Responses (IRR), which are those that lead us to Profitable Responses (RRRR) vitally; always looking at the medium and long term, because if we do not make this calculation with our important behaviors both in thought and in action, it will be really impossible for us to be happy.

4. Apply Global Intelligence (GI)

This consists of using our real intelligence in all areas of our life; work, relationships, hobbies, rest … without leaving any, since we have to get a passing score in all, as happens with physical matters: although we have very good sugar, if we have cholesterol through the roof we will not enjoy good health.

5. Encourage the observation and care of our Smart Life Consumption (CVI)

In this way, we will tend to ask ourselves how we are spending our time during the days, weeks, months and years. Time runs without us realizing it, and we often forget that it is limited, that what we have spent will not return. Therefore, it is convenient to question learning how to do it the best we can and as soon as possible.
